If I told you about the time I survived one of the longest days of my life, that would be the day I presented my POI (Program Oral Interpretation) in another speech and debate tournament.
Could hardly sleep all night. Had to get up at 5 in the morning to drive up to my college to meet up with some fellow teammates there, where we would be transported to Stockton via van. Presented my speech two times for the judges at the college that hosted the tournament. Didn’t advance to the final round, but I still had fun speaking.
In between rounds, I worked on my homework, chilled with some teammates, ate breakfast, listened to other speakers…and of course tried to catch a snooze. Not that you can ever be successful when you have a tournament you want to look forward to aaaaarrrrgghh-!

The awards ceremony went on for way longer than it was supposed to. Luckily by the time I came back home, I crashed on my bed and slept for 13 hours straight.
